Our Dance Research Team consists of academic researchers based in Brazil and in the UK working actively in the area of dance based projects in socially vulnerable communities.

Andrea Serio Bertoldi

Andrea is a Professor of the Bachelor's and Licentiate Degree in Dance and of the Postgraduate Program Professional Master in Arts at the State University of Paraná – UNESPAR. She is the coordinator of the Center for Education in Human Rights - CEDH of UNESPAR and collaborator of a community of artists called “Nó movimento em rede” (Knot, movement in network), creating projects of accessibility of different communities to the production of knowledge in Art.

Bianca Beneduzi

Bianca is a performance activist and researcher. She is part of the Choreomundus - International Master in Dance Knowledge, Practice and Heritage at the University of Roehampton in the United Kingdom. She has danced and cooperated with contemporary dance projects in Brazil, United States, Hungary, France, Italy, Greece and in the UK. Her fields of interest comprises dance projects in socially vulnerable contexts and migration.

Patricia Machado

Patrícia is a dancer, choreographer, performer and art facilitator. She is a master's student in Art and Education, at the State University of Paraná - UNESPAR and a professor and researcher in contemporary dance, interested in the refugee cause and migration. She is the creator of the “Criança que Dança Haiti” (Child that Dance Haiti), a project that brings performances and artistic activities to young people in socially vulnerable situation in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
